Q: What are the differences between the performance of an electric dirt bike or motorcycle versus a gas powered motorcycle?

A: This answer is VERY difficult to standardize as electric dirt bikes come in a wide variety of different motor strengths and characteristics. For comparison, most of the modern 250cc four strokes average horsepower ratings around 38 to 40 hp with 19-20 pound-feet of torque, which lands around  28,000 to 30,000 watts of power (28KW - 30KW). 450cc gas powered dirt bikes range up to 55 horsepower and 34.3 pound-feet of torque. For a given 450cc dirt bike this places the wattage output in the range of 40,000 to 41,000 watts (40W - 41W). Back to the various electric models of dirt bikes, with the exception of only a handful of full-scaled electric dirt bikes, most of the bikes on the current market fall under the claimed 20,000 watt power output, although there are a few bikes, such as the Arctic Leopard that claims to output approx. 25,000 watts for their XT800 model that we carry. To match a 450cc gas powered dirt bike one would have to look at full sized electric bikes such as the Stark Varg or similar models. With so many different sizes of electric dirt bikes and form factors, from the ultra lightweights ( i.e. Sur ron Light Bee X, Talaria Sting, etc.) to the mid-sized bikes such as the Sur ron Ultra Bee or Apollo RNF Rally Pro etc., most fall in under the standard horsepower of an average stock 250cc four stroke motocross race bike. However, quite a few electric dirt bikes have more "claimed" torque than a 250cc gas powered dirt bike.  Where many make-up ground, are in their instant amount of torque, maneuverability, and lightweight which can quickly help tooffset the lack in power in certain riding enviroments. With so many choices and different bikes for different purposes, you really have to consider what you want and where you want to ride your bike! Do your homework before picking which electric motorcycle is right for you and the reward could be well worth the effort!

Q: What is the average range (milelage) of an ebike/electric motorcyle?

A: There no typical ranges of any ebike or electric bike. We encourage our customers to take the claimed statistics provided by the manufacturers with a grain of salt. Meaning, they are NOT often times accurate in real world conditions. This can be for a variety of reasons including rider weight, terrain, ambient temperature, and even parts that are installed on the bike itself such as the chain or tires. There are different voltages of batteries that effect the output in terms of power and range as well. Typically, the way you ride and the amount of throttle being applied are key components that effect battery range per charge. Some bikes at a race pace may only see 16-20 miles, whereas other larger models can be ridden race pace for upwards of 40 miles to even 50 miles. Most bikes have a setting that is considered standard or eco mode. This will allow the most range generally, but at the costs of torque and speed. At the time of this writing, the average ranges of most ebikes across the various speed modes/gears were ranging from 16 miles up to around 60+ miles, but battery technology changes quickly. It is best to refer to the manufacturer's claim's and in doing so, cut their overall range numbers down roughly to 30%-50% for each stated mode/speed/ or gear. As the industry has advanced, there are a wide assortment of aftermarket batteries that can be purchased for certain models that will allow much greater range than that of a stock battery as well. Again, such changes can potentially VOID your warranty. So keep that in mind before making purchases on aftermarket parts.

Q: How long does it take to receive/ship my electric bike if I pre-order?

For all pre-ordered bikes, the wait time can vary by manufacturer as well as seasonal, global, and many other variables. Typically, from time of order to your door ranges between two to three months. There are sometimes issues that arise with parts and sourcing from the manufacturer and that time can be extended. Some brands can take up to four months. We will always update our customers via email if unexpected delays occur. All in stock bikes ship much quicker and will typically ship out within the same week. Generally for in stock units, shipping time is around two to three business days with the exception of weekends and holidays which can delay ship time.

Q: Do you ship international outside of the U.S.?

At this time, we do not sell or ship outside of the United States. There are a growing network of electric ebike/emoto dealers around the world, so we encourage international shoppers to look on a given manufacturer's website to see if one is located in their region.

Q: Are there any warranty/warranties on the bikes you sell?

A: In some cases, no, there aren't any warranties for some bikes we sell as the manufacturer does not provide any. That is a very important and good question to ask because again, there are no standard answers. It varies per manufacturer/brand. We are a dealer/reseller of these electric motorcycles/dirt bikes and have no control over what the factory choses to provide in terms of warranty. ("IF applicable"), and only as it applies to a given brand as provided through the manufacturer's warranty of any type, if present, it will be listed within the contents on that bike brand/model product page listing on this site. Some manufacturers offer very short term and/or limited warranties based on several key aspects. Some of these aspects may only cover (for example only) the battery or the motor, and not other components of the bike etc. Some warranties may be based on time and not mileage. Others may offer no warranty at all. In such instances, the purchase for the new product is "as is", which is the same as buying a used products on many online marketplaces such as Ebay or Facebook Marketplace even though the bike is actually in fact new unless otherwise stated. In the case of a "demo model", that would be the only used model bike we might sell on this site.

Also, It is in the nature for purchasers to want to customize and alter their bikes, in all cases, this will certainly VOID virtually any and all warranty coverages from a given manufacturer. So, if your bike is coveraged under a factory warranty, we strongly encourage you to consider that before you alter or change things on the bike within the warranty period. Otherwise, you will elect to VOID that warranty by altering the original OEM equipment.

We may attempt to also offer resources to our customers through third party warranty providers ("IF" provided, this is listed on website under the product(s) page) that can be purchased by the buyer/you/customer at any additional cost(s) to cover your new bike for a set period of time. In all instances of third party warranty purchases, we do not personally service or provide those warranties, we will make an effort to only provide the resources and links in order to facilitate our customers in the process. The agreement therein is made between you the consumer and the third party warranty provider and NOT Electro Bike US.

It is ultimately the customer's decision to purchase any after market or extended warranty coverage, if or when such resources are made available by third parties. In all instances of warranty related issues, if a bike is coveraged under a warranty, then the warranty will almost always include parts and may NOT include service/labor coverage due to the nature of online shopping and shipping of large items. WE DO NOT REFUND OR COVER ANY SHIPPING COSTS!! So, when a warranty is included for a given electric dirt bike, the service/repair responsibilties will ultimately rests upon the buyer's/customer's efforts or costs in changing out or repairing the parts, etc. unless otherwise specifically expressed by the manufactuer within their warranty. For more information from the manufacturer's warranties, please see our resources page for links to many of the brands we carry that may contain helpful information about a given bike. If a warranty exists for a given product, it will be listed under the product's specs and information on that product's page within this website.

We do not cover normal wear components (i.e. bearings, seals, chain, brake components, suspension valving, etc.). Misuse or failure caused by damages due to accident, collisions, or neglect. Misuse also includes altering any wiring, or installing any non-genuine/aftermarket parts, as well as any use for racing.  Any misuse in charging, storing, or discharging will voids limited factory warranties as well.  Limited warranty are non-transferable and you must have proof of purchase from us for bike brands and models that are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Electro Bikes U.S. LLC does NOT provide a warranty for any bike we sell on this site. The only warranty that MAY exists on a given bike/model would be provided through the manufacturer and only "IF" the manufacturer has explictly stated a warranty is granted.

 Q: Do you have a return/refund policy?

A: We do not have a return policy nor refund policy due on ebikes/motorcycles. WE DO NOT REFUND OR COVER ANY SHIPPING  COSTS!! THE BUYER PAYS ALL SHIPPING COSTS. We do NOT accept returns for large items such as ebikes. There are a number of reasons for this, one being the costs of shipping a bike and the commitment of ordering the bike inadvance in some instances. The other, being plainly put, once a bike has been paid and ordered, the purchase and sell is considered final as the bike has already been produced or in the process of being produced by the manufacturer. We encourage all customers to ensure they are decided and happy with their final decision before ordering their selected bike(s). All sales are FINAL. However, we will always try to assists our customers in cases of shipping issues and communicate with the manufacturer as well when related issues arise in regards to damage sustained during shipping or manufacturing flaws "IF" the manufacturer provides a warranty to the customer. Otherwise, your purchase of a bike(s) from our site is an "as-is" purchase and no coverage is provided for your order unless shipping insurance is selected to cover shipping damages.

In all cases, it is ultimately the buyer's responsibilty to note damages to the shipping container(s) or box(es) before accepting a delivery to your address and before signing for the package. If damage is incurred during shipping, the buyer will need to provide pictures of the package to send to the shipper and we MAY also need the pictures to share with the manufacturer. This is NOT a small purchase where wiggle room can be permitted. If a deposit or order has been placed, we are in the position of treating it as a 100% commitment and do not issue refunds for deposits or orders that have already been placed. This holds true for orders and changes to orders as well so please make final selections of bike(s), model(s), and specs prior to order payment.

Q: Do you offer service on the bikes you sell?

Due to the nature of our business existing solely online, we don't offer aftersales service. However, there a growing number of shops and dealerships around the country/world that can likely assist you with in-person repairs, aftermarket upgrades, and possibly facilitating warranty claims with the manufacturer when applicable. Electro Bikes US will attempt to assist our customers whom purchase a bike from us, with some degree of remote support and communication between you and the manufacturer when or "IF" a warranty or shipping issue has arisen. However, it is ultimately the manufacturer's responsibility to provide coverage for their products in terms of parts or service if they have provided coverage to the original purchaser. Another thought to consider, under our resources page we will provide links to some online parts manufacturers that provide replacement parts for various electrical ebikes and electric motorcycles. Most offer these parts for a reasonable price and in most cases, some of these repairs or changes could be made at home by the purchaser if they are mechanically inclined. (Note: electric bikes use high power batteries, it is important to ALWAYS follow safety precautions and read any and all manuals when operating or working on an electric bike. Electrical breakers must always be turned to the OFF position before removing or installing a battery. Also, it is advised to never submerse electrical components and batteries under water due to risk of damage and potential electrical shock.)
